Those Things Strange and Wonderful
Steven Winteregg

Cat.#30011
$20.00
|
This colorful and descriptive piece for college or professional players has
been performed extensively in the U. S. and in Europe. Movement 1, Lettuce and Tomato Response to Light
is reminiscent of time-lapse photography taken of sprouting plants. Alpenglow, second movement, uses mutes
for contrasting textures, and Leviathans Past and Present was inspired by the fascination that children
find in large animals.

The quintessential English processional, originally for organ, which is also

Triumphal March
Siegfried Karg-Elert
arr. William Picher

Cat.#30163
$15.00
|
Karg-Elert excelled in his use of traditional hymn-tunes as the basis for
his organ compositions. Triumphal March on "Nun danket alle Gott" (Now Thank We All Our God) in an
arrangement for brass quintet by William Picher, shows Karg-Elert at his majestic best. "Picher's
transcription...utilizes each instrument to the fullest...a solid composition and should be enjoyable
to perform." (ITG JOURNAL)

Celebration Fanfare and Toccata
Jerry Bowder

Cat.#30221
$17.00
|
This virtuostic sounding tonal piece keeps each player busy. It has great audience appeal.
The fanfare is in 6/8 and switches to 2/8 and 3/8 using forceful rhythms. The Toccata is in cut time and has long legato
lines marked flowing with energy. Towards the end, there is an overlapping of melodic parts which gives a very interesting
effect. It is scored for 2 C trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba. Highly recommended.
